HHFTS Interview

HHFTS: first off, im crumbling some fat free saltines into my chili as we speak, im wondering, what is your favorite home cooked meal?

Jocyph- Mexican food- anything is considered mexican food once it enters my hands. Torch- Yams, yams and more yams Phenom- butter
Sundance- Jumbo sized meatshakes

HHFTS: the song "this far" off of your album "A Voice In The Desert" it's pretty snappy...what's the inspiration behind that particular number?

Jocyph- Encouragement. To encourage others to not give up in their walk, life, struggles, etc...

Sundance- and also it was a time for us when things didn't seem to be going right, the finances weren't coming in album completion wise and junk- and we wrote that as a statement of the fact that we weren't gonna give up until we finished this junk proper.

HHFTS: since this is an online thing-a-ma-jiggy....A/S/L??

Torch- is this an online dating thing? I like velvet...the way it feels
against my skin.
Jocyph- 25/ Las Vegas (but Fresno at heart)
Sundance- 28/ Vegas (reppin San Diego)
Phenom- 23/ Vegas
The Oracle- 23/ Vegas
Cause-B- 26/ Vegas

HHFTS: I'm from Fresno,Ca....rumor has it you have member in your group that is from Fresno as well....does he reak of cool? and how long has he been in the crew?

Sundance- He smells like record dust and krylon- and yes dude's mad
cool.
Torch- He smells like sulphur and crayons. I smell like safari.
Jocyph- I been in the crew about 2 years.

HHFTS: the oracle is only on one track....what gives?

Jocyph- He's one of the leaders at ICLV's Master's Commission Program, so that's been takin up the majority of his time lately- which is also why he wasn't able to roll tonight to do this interview.

HHFTS:. do you guys have distribution for your album? if not, how can we get it?do you mind if we steal a box, set up shop with 3 or 4 big dudes at your show, and slang'em for half the price that you do?

Torch- No. Yes. Yes.
Jocyph- we got some distro, but we're open to anyone who would be down to support the project.
Phenom- we're foot soldiers, we do most of the work ourselves right now.
Sundance- We came out on our own label Sound Disciple Records, and are currently getting a website together with an online store and
everything- as well as being carried at places such as Sphere of Hip Hop and Junkyard Dist. who really do alot to help the indy scene cats like us.

HHFTS:. are you hotties single?

Sundance- We're all sewed up except for Jocyph- dude's single.

HHFTS:. in 15,000 words or less describe what you see ministry as

Torch- Displaying my dilligence in hermeneutics.
Jocyph- Spreading the gospel through any medium necessary hether it be audio visual or in the spirit.
Sundance- A wacky wacky ride- you never know what's gonna go down or how it's gonna crack, but somehow God ALWAYS comes through with what we gotta do to advance to the next step, as well as how to get there.
Phenom- Innovative.

HHFTS:. okay, shout out someone that YOU know, that thinks that you would NEVER shout them out for any reason.

Torch and Sundance- BELLY from Holy Grounds. Big up Belly.
Sundance- also to TV Crew in SD.
Jocyph- Doewreck One (Jason Ford), Ellensburg, WA.
Phenom- Lot's wife- thanks for the lesson.

HHFTS:. okay, the last thing i would like for you guys to do is give a
commentary on ANYTHING....RANT.....

Torch- Spaghetti tastes nice, especially when you take the bay leaves out. And you can ravage through the bowl without fear of eating plants. Hiking frees the soul. I cut my hair. A new me for the new year.
Phenom- Keep an open heart, open mind, fear noone except God, and there's nothing you cannot achieve. Faith is more powerful than fear, dilligence is rewarded, isolation is a torture method. Forsake not the fellowship.
Jocyph- Hip Hop is not uniform just like your walk with Christ is not
uniform. Dont let anyone discourage what God has set in your heart. If you feel what you are doing is God inspired, check the spirit and if its still cool, run with it. Dont let nay sayers hold you down. Peace to all graff heads, emcees b-boys and dj's. Keep the culture moving in the name of the lord! (prov 27:17)
Sundance- I just want to encourage anyone out there who's going through anything, any struggles or anything like that- to call on the name of Jesus Christ in faith for help. And if you ever need any help with anything- get at us, we're real cats who been through a lot and are here for you.
